General Construction

The General Construction Technician will perform general building and construction projects as well as a variety of duties for our commercial, retail, and residential communities. Responsibilities will include general labor work, gathering equipment/ supplies, painting, improvement projects, punch list items and all other duties assigned by the Construction Manager. Currently Part-time but could become full-time

Primary Responsibilities:

* Fulfilling daily tasks in a timely fashion
* Delivering friendly customer service while completing tasks
* General grounds keeping including minor custodial work, picking up trash, pulling weeds and maintaining curb appeal and common areas
* On-call availability for emergency response
* Experience with hand and power tools
* Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation
* Must be able to work in all weather conditions
* Enforce proper company policies and procedures
* Ability to troubleshoot, think ahead, plan, recommend solutions/ideas
* Work as a team with supervisor and other sub-contractors
* Complete post construction punch lists
* Excellent communication with team members
* Clean/organize job sites/job trailer
* Additional Accountabilities:
* Experience with rough framing, decks, minor finish work
* Minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC
* Minor painting/drywall experience is a plus
* Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs
* Must have a Can and Will Do attitude

Knowledge and Skills Required:

* General Building and Construction - Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures
* Equipment Selection - Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job
* Able to communicate with customers and have strong organizational skills
* Working well independently and on a team

Compensation:

Commensurate with experience.
