Accounts Payable, Billing I

Robert Half has an exceptional opportunity for a long-term contract / temporary Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join the team at a recognized company. The Accounts Payable Clerk will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. An individual in this position will need a high aptitude for computer software, be mindful of details and a self motivator. Located in Eagan, Minnesota, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary position.

Major responsibilities

- Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners

- Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them

- Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies

- Provide internal and external audit assistance as required

- Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks

- Manage full-cycle A/P

- Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail

- Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling

- Execute additional tasks as needed

- Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

- Great attention to detail

- Comprehensive knowledge of navigating basic office equipment and protocols

- Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

- Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
