Position Summary:
Trek is looking for a technically strong, analytical, self-motivated, detail focused individual to fill a key seat on our growing Retail Finance team. The Retail Senior Accountant will report directly to the Retail Finance Manager and will be located in Waterloo, WI.
This position will require you to engage & partner with a variety of teams to drive change within our retail operation. Huge opportunity to learn & develop at a great company. Candidate should have a high level of curiosity & be hungry to get their hands into the details.

Responsibilities:
  • Point person running Month End Close:
    • Perform analytical review of all key account balances
    • Partner with function accounting leads to resolve all material issues
    • Final sign off on journal entry review and other key controls to close
    • Make sure the team hits the deadline
  • Own the roll up and reconciliation of the Consolidated Retail Store Balance Sheet
  • Enhance internal controls to strengthen the financial foundation of retail business
  • Drive execution of high value process improvement projects
  • Partner with global retail controllers to align standard accounting practices & processes
  • Lead internal training sessions with retail accountants to advance technical skills
  • Assist Loss Prevention Specialist with annual store inventory counts
  • Prepare store cash flow statement and identify opportunities to improve cash usage
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of corporate accounting experience required
  • 1+ year of public accounting preferred; not required
  • CPA preferred; not required
  • Exhibited competence in previous experience of all aspects of general ledger accounting
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Ability to drive strong processes and controls
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Ability to manage the details but also communicate with and influence operational partners
