Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

The individual is responsible for performing calibration and preventative maintenance (PM) on weighing equipment without assistance, within our Lab Business Area. May be required to assist others on installations, projects and/or repairs as necessary.
  • Calibrate, perform preventive maintenance, and repair equipment while keeping track of job assignments and a detailed schedule Identify the root causes of service issues the first time using your keen knowledge of the products and your comfort with hand tools and calibration equipment
  • Update service records and complete service reports on time and ensure data integrity via company issued laptop
  • Traveling overnight [ X ]% of the time Lifting and carrying 50+ pounds occasionally
  • Standing and squatting for long periods of time
  • Working out of your home at or near [location]
  • Working evenings and weekends occasionally


What You Need to Succeed

  • High School Diploma or GED with an aptitude in the areas of Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, Technology or Computer Science or equivalent education and experience in a technical support role, technical troubleshooting or technical installation of electronics or electromechanical technology
  • Worked in field service or have related experience in similar environment Calibration, preventive maintenance, and repair skills
  • The ability to identify the root causes of service issues the first time using your keen knowledge of the products and your comfort with hand tools and calibration equipment
  • Excellent customer service skills, detail orientation, and great verbal and written communication skills
  • The desire and ability to promote and sell services and products, generating sales leads
  • Basic comfort with laptop computers
  • A valid driver's license and a safe driving history
  • We consider experience in the field of chemistry a plus
