Mechanical Engineer-New Product Development

What you will do.
We are looking for an entrepreneurial, aggressive, and dedicated achiever to become part of our engineering team as a mechanical design engineer. In this position you will participate in the design process from development, component test, sub-system integration, prototype machine builds and test, validation, and support of product release. As a key member of the engineering team you will also work with other groups to help define the vision for future new products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with other electrical and drive system engineers to design and model motorized material handling equipment that meet the design, manufacturability and commercial requirements for the product.
• Execute a variety of calculations and software aided analyses in the areas of mechanical stress analysis, tolerance stack analysis, material selection and design for manufacturing.
• Participate in the prototype assembly and testing process to verify that equipment meets design requirements.

Education and/or Experience

• 3 years of experience with computer aided modeling software (CAD, solidworks preferred). Schooling is acceptable substitution.
• Hands-on experience with fabrication methods and physical assembly of parts.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Sheets Docs, and Slides).
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
