Position Overview
The *Tax Manager* is responsible for learning and applying technical skills and working as a part of the team. They are responsible for timely and accurate reporting of financial reports and data of clients. To provide analyses and reviews of balance sheet accounts, performs account period closings and analysis for client review. They also develop standards; perform month end closing, variance analysis, reconciliations, fix asset justifications, inventory valuation, tax preparation, budgeting and forecasting.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Most important duty - to get client work in and logged in early and timely.
Second most important duty - to get final tax products to client at least 4 weeks prior to nearest tax due date.
Third most important duty - ensure all monthly client work is produced and delivered to client at least 1 week prior to mutually understood monthly deadline. Update Partner on account if and why deadlines cannot be made.
Develop, implement and maintain a monthly reporting process to client.
Maintain fixed asset inventory and valuation.
Schedule computations of accrued expenses and give the basis for accruals.
Billing.
Manage client relationships.
Collections & A/R.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge.
Maintaining billable budget and utilization
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
Business Development.
Standardization liaison.
Prepare payroll, tax, and business records and reports.
Prepare corporate and individual tax returns.
Maintain acumen with tax reporting and reporting standards.
Build strong team and client relationships.
Attend client meetings as requested.
Attend company meetings as required.
Participate in office wide initiatives - recruitment, marketing, etc.
Actively pursues self-development opportunities.
Other duties as assigned.

*Position Overview*

*Assurance Manager* performs client attest engagements, which include planning, executing, directing, and completing Financial Audits, Reviews, Full Disclosure Compilations, Agreed-Upon Procedures Engagements, Forecasts/Projections, and Internal Controls consulting. Research and analyze financial statement and audit related issues. Prepare report drafts and assist in issuance of the report. Proactively interact with key client's management to gather information, resolve problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements. Train, mentor and manage staff on attest engagements. Assist in business development and actively participate in marketing efforts for the attest department. Assist in annual and ongoing planning for and assignment of engagements. Help with attest department administration tasks.

Quality control of all work through workpaper review.

Develops and is accountable for the assignment work plan and ensures assigned tasks and responsibilities are achieved including deadlines met.

Successfully builds, directs and maintains a motivated and empowered work team.

Advises, coaches, and supports team members including providing consistent recognition and encouragement to team members to increase retention and utilization.

Leverage commercial and market knowledge to identify client needs/opportunities to sell additional value added services. Refers cross selling opportunities to appropriate team member.

Develops and strengthens long term relationships with client management and peer client levels.

Supports partners in the implementation of practice objectives and budgets.

Communicates progress of engagements with the Office Manager or Partner, including time estimates, scheduling considerations, etc.

Identifies potential accounting and auditing issues and performs research to present proposed solutions to the Office Manager or Partner.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Maintains billable budget and utilization and total budgeted hours.

Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
??? Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Two (2) to Five (5) years' experience in general accounting.
??? Certificates, Licenses and Registrations - Complete or in process CPA certification
??? Communication - Has strong interpersonal skills and is skilled in communicating complex technical information so that it is understood by clients
??? Industry Knowledge - General knowledge of market trends including opportunities and local business initiatives
??? Relationship Development - Able to establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients and staff
