BBI International, a Grand Forks-based media and events company, is looking for full-time writers to join our magazine publishing team. We seek journalists of various experience levels, from recent college graduates to seasoned journalists and media professionals. Responsibilities include industry research, data collection, interviews, writing, editing and collaborating with in-house creative, sales and marketing personnel on magazine production. Applicants with undergraduate degrees and at least one year of professional journalism, communications or media experience preferred. However, entry-level writing positions, part-time roles and even paid internships, may be available. BBI International, a fast-paced, growing organization based in Grand Forks, ND is looking for an experienced account manager to help drive sales revenues for all print and digital products. As a full-time, media account manager, you’ll join an established team where you will be responsible for selling advertising for BBI’s publications focused on the ethanol, biomass, biodiesel, shale oil & gas and unmanned aerial systems industries. The sales process you conduct is primarily via the phone as clients are located throughout the world. Moderate travel to industry conferences & trade shows is required. In addition, you are required to attend all BBI International conferences and events to meet with clients and help with logistics, when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Research and learn our own magazine being sold and understand the value propositions
- Execute the selling process
- Develop business relationships with decision makers within companies that are vying for market share within the industries served.
- Uncover customer’s critical business issues and creating a solution to deliver a measured value for the customer
- Be responsible for growing existing accounts and developing new business through prospecting competing conferences, referrals, industry directories and list providers
- Consult clients on strategic planning for market penetration
- Manage sales pipeline to maximize revenues within BBI’s sales process methodology
- Accept personal quota responsibility and map out how to achieve goals
- Make use of CRM and manage your activity in the CRM using BBI’s process
- Provide timely and accurate reports of your activates once a week in the company sales team meeting. This includes new prospects that you have

- Grow account base throughout the year, by finding new customers through prospecting
