Job Information

Manage the Engineering Research & Development group to accomplish targets outlined in the Company’s Product and Technology Roadmaps. Responsible for the design and development of new and existing products which are cost competitive, high quality, and meet or exceed the market requirements.

Role & Responsibility

Staff Management
  • Outline strategy for employee growth, development, and succession planning for responsible departmental area.

Ensure Long Range Goals Are Met
  • Assist in the development of engineering goals and strategies which are in alignment with the Company’s goals.
  • Collaborate with Planning Group to initiate new ideas for future and existing products for the Long-Range Plan.
  • Collaborate with other functional areas to accomplish goals per the Long-Range Plan.
  • Participate in Planning and Operational meetings on the development status of major activities.
  • Plan and manage the development activity of existing and new products per schedules outlined in the Long-Range Plan.
  • Prepare, submit and maintain an operating budget for responsible area per the Long-Range Plan.
  • Respond and solve any field problems and warranty issues in appropriate area.
  • Improve product quality, reliability and system cost through warranty and Quality Cost Improvement programs.
  • Continually improve the Technology Development Process, Engineering Systems and Knowledge Management Systems.


Job Requirement

  • Proficiency in developing and mentoring future managers for the company.
  • Ability to deal with peers and managers at all levels and functions within the Company.
  • Clear understanding of Global Engineering needs.
  • Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Experience Required: 10>15 years

What skills, education, and experiences does your ideal candidate(s) have?

•Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
•These are entry level opportunities
•Must be able to follow established methods and procedures and perform work accordingly. Must have the ability to work rapidly and under time pressure for extended periods of time in order to meet build requirements. Must possess the ability to read build sheets and blueprints.
•The ability to communicate with supervisors and fellow workers in both written and verbal forms at a level normally acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED is required.
•Job specific skills, techniques and safe work and equipment operating practices are learned through on-the-job and classroom training. General instructions are given on recurring duties, operations and assignments; detailed instructions are given on new duties, operations and assignments.
