The PR intern will support a variety of content areas throughout the agency, including, but not limited to, public relations, social media, strategy development and planning, and account service. As a cross-discipline content developer, the intern will focus on honing his/her communications skills for a variety of channels (social, online, print and broadcast) and audiences (internal and external). Bader Rutter represents some of the U.S. agriculture's leading companies such as Corteva Agriscience, Pioneer Seeds, Zoetis Animal Health, Case IH, Seaboard Foods etc.

As one of BR's PR interns, you'll have opportunities to explore your passion, grow your talents (and resume) and collaborate to learn from creative minds across multiple disciplines.

Who we're looking for:

* Demonstrated written and verbal communications, including content development and editing for print, online and social platforms
* Passion for and experience in agriculture, particularly in livestock and row crops
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills
* Proactive, curious, outgoing; self-starter attitude
* Full-time student or recent grad with a major or minor in agriculture-related disciplines within communications (public relations, advertising, journalism) or marketing
* Completion of basic communications and/or business marketing coursework while maintaining a B average (3.0 on 4.0 scale)
* College juniors, seniors or recent graduates with previous internship experience preferred
* Involvement and leadership in student marketing or pre-professional organizations are a plus (e.g., 4-H, NAMA, AFA, FFA)

Responsibilities:

* Develop content that supports clients' strategic marketing communications plans (i.e., media advisories, news releases, e-newsletter copy, social media posts, blog content, feature articles, etc.)
* Assist with media relations planning and execution
* Collect testimonials from clients, veterinarians, row crop and livestock producers, and other industry experts
* Help monitor media coverage
* Participate in strategic communications planning and status meetings
* Conduct competitive audits

Internship Specifics:

* Internship program to run from June to August
* Full-time summer internship 37.5 hours a week (8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.)
* Paid position - $17.50
* School credit can be earned with this internship
* Will consider in-person or remote
