Description

The Software Developer is responsible for building multimedia training software and applications for various target platforms. Primary responsibilities will be to implement project functionality, translating design ideas, concepts, and requirements into a functional and engaging experience. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and a quality product are essential. The Software Developer’s role as a member of our digital design team is flexible enough to accommodate for a wide range of abilities and experience, from an entry-level candidate to an experienced professional.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Software Development
    • Work as part of a team using contemporary programming tools and languages to produce interactive, multimedia training software and applications.
    • Participate in designing multimedia software applications and produce program code for those designs.
    • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
    • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
    • Work with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy of all materials.
    • Stay current with the latest software development trends, techniques, and software.
  • Documentation and records
    • Track and record hours worked on each project.
    • Maintain other documentation as necessary for duties and responsibilities outlined above.

Required Competencies

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Creative problem solving and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree required:
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field; OR
    • Associate degree and three years of directly related work experience
  • A portfolio of work must be provided at or before an interview.
  • Successful completion of criminal history records check.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Visual design skills and experience, including 2D/3D illustration/modeling & animation
  • Virtual/augmented/mixed reality development experience
  • Full stack web development experience
  • Mobile application development experience
  • Instructional design experience
  • Aviation experience

Minimum Hiring Salary/Position Classification

$45,000/Full-Time/Exempt

Work Schedule/Start Date

Monday – Friday: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
