Position: IT Helpdesk Technician

Job Summary: The Full Time IT Help Desk Technician is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operations for end user applications and equipment. They will be a point of contact providing desk-side and remote assistance in resolving Tier I and Tier II technology support issues when possible and escalating to the appropriate personnel when necessary. May require expertise in commonly used business applications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • To receive calls for assistance from AllCovered by phone, email or in person and to log, resolve what requires hands on support (Tasks that cannot be resolved remotely)
  • To receive calls for assistance from end users by phone, email or in person and to log, resolve what is not currently the responsibility of existing vendors
  • Perform hands on updates, repairs, configuration, and end user training of corporate IS equipment, to include Computers, Mobile Devices, Multi-Function Copiers, tablets, Telecommunication/Collaboration devices and Audio/Visual technologies.
  • Create and update documentation on systems for both IS and our internal customers. These include not only technical but also business processes.
  • Track IT assets in some of the internal systems and ensure adequate levels of IT spare equipment is available
  • Provide Tier 1 support mobile devices (Tablets and handheld scanners)
  • Help troubleshoot basic networking issues around the plant when needed
  • Carries out duties in compliance with established business policies.
