What you'll do:

* Ensure material inventory levels are sufficient to meet production schedules
* Prepare purchase orders and maintain purchasing records
* Assist in purchasing materials and supplies at favorable terms
* Research and negotiate with suppliers to obtain prices and specifications and follow up with suppliers for delivery schedules
* Track purchases, monitor vendor quality, and maintain a current database of vendor information
* Coordinate the transfer of raw materials, parts, and finished products between various production areas and warehouses
* Receive material and components into Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system

* Lead inventory cycle counts, collecting and analyzing data on current orders, production levels, and sales forecasts to estimate future demand

* Provide routine administrative support, operating a system for data entry and transmission, as well as running requested reports
* Participate in S&OP process

What you'll need to succeed:

* Relevant work experience (ideally 3-4 yrs.) within manufacturing and supply chain management (e.g., purchasing, receiving, inventory control)
* Strong interpersonal skills and a confident communication style; an effective collaborator at all levels across global, cross-functional teams

* A keen eye for detail and an approach to problem-solving that is both methodical and innovative; when something goes wrong, you don't panic, you embrace the need to think outside the box and resolve problems on your own

* Ability to adhere to all safety guidelines/procedures, work while standing/seated for prolonged periods of time, and perform repetitive motions and lifting (up to 25 lbs.)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel), as well as hands-on experience with ERP technology

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
