Night owl alert! Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark is seeking a night auditor to handle the nightly reporting while assisting guests in a courteous and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented while excelling in guest service.

The Responsibilities :
  • Performs front desk responsibilities to include greeting guests, performing guest transactions, answering the telephone, processing individual reservations, balancing credit card and cash transactions, and taking accurate messages for guests and management.
  • Responsible for a working knowledge of the property management system (SMS Host) and all point of sales systems (SMS POS and SMS Touch).
  • Post and verify that room, tax and resort fee have been run on all occupied rooms; check and balance all food and beverage systems.
  • Handle guest complaints and provide accurate guidance
  • Completes shift checklist.
  • Monitors front desk areas for safety, security, and appearance and reports any injuries, accidents or problems as necessary.
  • Work with housekeeping to assess room status
  • Responsible for accurate cash control to include keeping cash drawer at a minimum and ensuring that all funds are accounted for and deposits made according to policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The Qualifications:
  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • 6+ months previous work experience in a guest service position required, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Ability to work with numbers (previous accounting experience preferred)
  • Able to work independently, has good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills. Organization and time management skills; Service oriented.
  • Has previous experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
  • Comfortable handling various computer based software at one time
  • Good oral and written communication towards guests, supervisors, peers, and/or subordinates.
  • Able to guide, direct, and motivate others; Work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Reporting Relationship: Front Office Manager and Assistant Front Office Manager

Exemption Status: Non-Exempt.
