Interns in Communications have the exciting opportunity to be part of a Fortune 7 company that enhances its reputation with governments, policy-makers, consumers and employees through a dynamic content and storytelling strategy across a wide variety of channels. Our Internal Communications team is hiring for the general internal communications and Human Capital team. As an intern you will learn what it is like to develop internal content for a Fortune 7 company.

**This full-time internship position will be available starting in June 2022**

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Internal Communications Team:

Creation of internal and digital content (e.g. newsroom stories, internal web content, social posts)

Assist with creation of creative assets to support communications campaigns (e.g., video, photography, infographics)

Proof and edit key documents and deliverables for internal and external use

Support Enterprise messaging campaigns by collecting, packaging and gathering approvals on campaign assets

Assist with project managing large employee events and meeting

Research, analyze, and share best-in-class practices across the competitive landscape

Human Capital Internal Communications Team:

Support the ongoing needs of the Human Capital team and drive effective communications on UnitedHealth Group programs to employees across the enterprise by collecting, packaging and gathering approvals on campaign assets.

Create internal and digital content (e.g. internal web content)

Assist with creating assets to support communications campaigns (e.g., infographics)

Proof and edit key documents and deliverables for internal use

Research, analyze, and share best-in-class practices across the competitive landscape

Required Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college / university. Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college / university during the duration of the internship. Internships are not intended for graduating seniors
Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization. F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered. H1-B and green card sponsorship is not available for this position
You will be asked to perform this role in an office setting, however, may be required to work from home temporarily
Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Advertising or the equivalent
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
Experience writing, researching, and editing
Experience with digital or social media
Experience in organizing or planning events and meetings
Experience working, volunteering, or interning in a health care, policy, research, or public relations setting
