Boys & Girls Club of Rochester is looking for part-time Youth Development Professionals. This rewarding part-time position delivers nationally recognized programs that change the lives of youth in our community. In this position candidates will plan,
implement and supervise/evaluate programs dedicated to four core values; Character & Leadership, Academic Success, Healthy lifestyles and The Arts.

We're looking for candidates who:

* Enjoy working with youth grades K-12
* Have a working knowledge of youth development standards and concepts
* Are flexible to deal with a variety of situations
* Afternoon and evening hours (3:00-7:30 or 8:30).

Key Responsibilities

Prepare Youth for Success
* Creating an environment that facilitates youth development outcomes
* Promote and stimulate participation in club programming
* Being a strong role model for youth served and making an impactful relationship

Program Development and Implementation
* Effectively carry out programs, services and activities for members
* Monitor and evaluate program and services to ensure quality of program and safety
* Prepare periodic program reports
* Create and deliver new programs and activities
* Maintain excellent social emotional learning practices

Knowledge/Skills Required
* High School Diploma , some college preferred
* Ability to establish rapport and build meaningful relationships
* Ability to deal with the general public
* Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment
* Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems
* Physical requirements include some physical exertion such as lifting (up to 40 lbs.), stretching and bending in a Club setting as well as standing for long periods of time.
* The positions environment is in a Club setting and includes interaction with children ages 5-18
and can be noisy at times.

Pay: $14.00 per hour
