The Universal Banker is responsible for providing all Minnwest Bank customers with a professional and courteous knockout customer experience, from sales to service. Provide solutions to satisfy customers’ financial needs by opening new deposit accounts, consumer loans and handle customer deposit transactions. This position will also cross-sell bank retail and business products and services, as well as service existing account relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Provide prompt and courteous customer service to all Minnwest Bank customers by identifying and recommending bank products and services to fulfill their needs.
2.Open new deposit accounts, cross-sell bank products and services, and accurately prepare and process all deposit account paperwork for new and existing customer accounts.
3.Process transactions as requested, recognizing red flags regarding fraud and scams.
4.Provide referrals and other opportunities to other business lines, e.g., insurance, real estate, etc.
5.Proactively promote and identify cross-selling opportunities to achieve individual, team, and organizational sales and service goals.
6.Assist existing customers with account changes or inquiries and assist customers with any issues or questions they may encounter with their online products/services.
7.Complete Ready Credit and installment loan applications for prospective loan accounts through Decision Pro. May have lending authority for Consumer credit and Home Equity Line of Credits. May have MLO role duties.
8.Perform teller functions as outlined in the Teller standard operating procedures, including, but not limited to, receiving checks and cash for deposits, verifying cash and endorsements, issuing receipts, issuing cashier’s checks, cashing checks and paying out funds upon verification of signature and balance, balancing of cash drawer and maintaining established cash level.
9.Maintain knowledgeable on all bank products and services
10.Comply with Minnwest Bank policies and procedures.
11.Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

•Satisfactory working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows

Education/Experience Requirements:
•High school diploma or equivalent.
•3+ years of customer service/sales experience, preferably in financial services industry
•Dependable, organized, team player with a positive attitude
•Willing to continuously learn and grow within the organization

Training and Education Program:
Minnwest Bank provides Universal Bankers with robust, comprehensive training. Training is organized into weeklong phases and is facilitated at our Minnwest Bank Eagan Training Center located in Eagan, MN.
•Weeklong travel to the MW Eagan Training Center is required. Hotel, meals, mileage, etc. is paid.
•Training phases must be completed in succession.
•Overview of the topics covered during each phase:
oPhase I: Foundational (Teller) Skills
oPhase II: Deposit Accounts
oPhase III: Advanced Deposit Accounts
oPhase IV: Consumer Lending Applications and Knowledge
•Universal Bankers are expected to become proficient in each phase before enrolling in subsequent phases and will be required to complete proficiency checklists.
•Additional training also required, e.g., compliance, security, etc.

Working Conditions:
1.Work indoors in a standard office environment.
2.Predominately sitting or standing for extended periods of time, some walking, some climbing stairs and occasionally driving a car. Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling and reaching above shoulder level.
3.Requires dexterity of hands and fingers to operate calculator, computer keyboard and mouse.
4.Will involve occasional travel for training or meetings.
