Duties

Administers non expendable equipment items for squadron facilities through delivery and inventory control. Maintains the appropriate security of high value and items subject to pilferage. Maintains an accurate accounting and reporting system for all accountable property and performs routine phases of property management according to established policies and procedures.

Responsible for preparing administrative documents for the Data/NAF Office under the guidance of the NAF Office Manager. This will include activities such as selling up/disposing of property in the SAIS system, preparing activity binders and typing policies that have been given in finalized draft. Also responsible for administering the NAF Excess Program.

Applies official regulations to cash management and accountability in a Central Cashier function. Assures that all deposits from MWR and Lodging cost centers are received as scheduled. Receives, counts and balances cash with AF Form 1878's turned in daily.

Maintains a change fund for cash requirements and ensures that sufficient cash is available to meet cash needs. Balance changes fund daily. Prepares, maintains and balances a central cashier AF Form 1877 on a daily basis to account for all change funds issued and turned in and cost centers' deposit. Responsible for making a daily deposit with the financial instruction. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Maintains office files, carries out oral and written instruction in an acceptable manner contributing to the satisfactory accomplishment of the organization's functions.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience:
Incumbent must have progressively responsible experience in supply work which provided knowledge of rules, regulations. procedures, and program requirements of the local supply organization and the organizations serviced. Knowledge of asset/supply inventory and accountability procedures and regulations. Experience must have been sufficiently demanding to demonstrate the ability to basic analytical methods and techniques to resolve supply problems and/or deviations from normal supply management procedures or program requirements.

Must possess the knowledge and ability to perform a range of standard clerical assignments and to resolve recurring problems. Progressively responsible experience in deposit, custody, or other processing of cash items when this includes: Direct handling of cash items and cash accountability control methods. Typing skills are required. Must be able to communicate orally and in writing. Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
