Position Summary:

The Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of duties for our commercial, retail, residential, and senior communities as well as general building and construction projects. Responsibilities will include general labor work, gathering equipment/ supplies, ensure that all facilities are in a safe condition and handling all maintenance request in a timely, efficient matter. In addition, this position will also include daily duties such as general building and construction, painting, improvement projects, routine seasonal maintenance and all other duties assigned by the Asset Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Fulfilling daily tasks in a timely fashion
* Delivering friendly customer service while completing tasks
* Maintain and troubleshoot basic appliances (refrigerators, dishwashers, washer/dryers)
* General grounds keeping including minor custodial work, picking up trash, pulling weeds, and maintaining curb appeal and common areas
* Ability to troubleshoot, think ahead, plan, recommend solutions/ideas.
* On-call availability for emergency response
* Communication with the Asset Manager
* Work as a team with supervisor and other sub-contractors
* Complete post construction punch lists
* Excellent communication with team members
* Clean/ organize job sites/ job trailer
* Must have a Can and Will Do attitude
* Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation
* Additional Accountabilities:
* Experience with hand and power tools
* Experience with rough framing, decks, minor finish work
* Minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC
* Minor painting/ drywall experience is a plus
* Must be able to lift 100 lbs

Knowledge and Skills Required:

* General Building and Construction - Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures.
* Equipment Selection - determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
* Able to communicate with customers and have strong organizational skills
* Prior experience (minimum of two years)
* Works well both independently and on a team.
