Responsibilities

Documentation

Ensures complete, accurate and timely information is recorded on work requests.

Submits maintenance incident and utility management reports whenever required.

Communications

Follow up on problems after work is completed or transferred to another technician.

Technical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Demonstrates the ability to take a job from start to finish.

Works with other crafts and coordinates with them to allow work to be completed on schedule.

Complete job assignments in an accurate and timely manner.

Uses a broad base of mechanical and electrical knowledge when affecting repairs.

Maintains current licensure and/or certification.

Operates all tools in a productive and safe manner.

Troubleshoots and accurately diagnoses problems and quickly takes corrective action.

Qualifications

Experience: At least five years work experience in maintenance or successful completion of four year apprenticeship program in power plant operations.

Physical Requirements: Must be in good physical condition, able to lift up to 100 pounds, and walk, bend, climb, and crawl for extended periods of time.

Skills: Must possess a working knowledge/ experience in construction, home repairs, lawn care & snow removal.
