About the Learning and Development Specialist:

As a Learning and Development Specialist, you will support the growth and development of employees and the organization by designing, developing, delivering and implementing training programs and resources by collaborating with stakeholders to determine the needs and content of courses/programs and appropriate methods of delivery. Areas of concentration include (but are not limited to) retail specific content, retail systems applications, and leadership and talent development.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the ability to collaborate with and coach SMEs to specific training results that align with larger organizational goals, project manage and sustain program management for new and existing programs and have knowledge in instructional design and adult learning theories. This position will coordinate training activities and workshops and seminars, while meeting Coborn's vision to "Be Remarkable!"

* Instructional Design: Create learning through the Instructional Design process by partnering with Subject Matter Experts to design and develop learning resources using a wide variety of print, graphics, audio, and video (media) technology as well as e-learning authoring tools; utilize multiple types of learning activities, including lectures, demonstrations, practice scenarios, and interactive exercises; work with content delivery platforms including the learning management system and webinar platform.
* Deliver training through a variety of methods: Use a variety of instructional techniques and formats to facilitate a wide range of training programs and train-the-trainer workshops (virtually and in person) that focus on industry/company specific concepts, practices and procedures, as well as managerial and leadership development, along with talent development concepts; communicate and provide professional and technical support to location-level trainers and employees for created trainings.
* Project Management/Change Management: Partner with SMEs and Stakeholders to review and revise existing programs by partnering with areas of the business and evaluating concepts, strategies, and instructional materials to continuously advance the training program.
* Data Driven Decision Making: Develop and maintain training metrics to evaluate effectiveness of training; recommend changes to curricula or delivery methods based on instructional effectiveness data, current or future performance requirements, feasibility, and costs.
* Manage logistics for specific Learning & Development initiatives and programs. Which could include printing, mailing, ordering and other administrative duties.

We are looking for someone who:

* Has the knowledge of (or the ability to quickly learn how to use) eLearning authoring tools like Articulate 360
* Has experience with filming and editing videos
* Experience in multiple training deliveries including in person facilitation and virtual facilitation through webinar platforms, evaluating learning impact and an understanding of methodologies for evaluating training.
* Possesses a current state driver's license and valid insurance with the ability to travel to business locations as needed.
* Bachelor's Degree in Training & Development, Education, Instructional Design, Communication and/or related field preferred.
