Premier Marine is a leading pontoon boat builder currently located in Wyoming, Minnesota. We will be opening a brand new state-of-the-art facility in Big Lake, Minnesota and will be relocating in summer of 2022.

We are currently seeking an organized and responsible CNC Maintenance Engineer to manage maintenance programs specifically related to CNC programming. The ideal candidate will understand mechanical and technical work in a high-speed production environment and have excellent leadership skills. You will direct and oversee all daily manufacturing maintenance activities including scheduling and delegation of tasks, personnel management, tracking mechanical performance, budgetary management, and directing the processes of changeovers and equipment repairs. Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plans work by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
  • Programs lasers and brake presses amongst other machines by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
  • Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
  • Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to international standards.
  • Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
  • Oversee, manage and direct all maintenance procedures and operations
  • Ensure all machinery is up to working standards
  • Assess current maintenance work processes to optimize efficiency
  • Create and implement measures to minimize breakdowns and repairs (performing quality checks of all machinery, tools, equipment etc.)
  • Identify root cause and implement a clear plan of action for ensuring quality production
  • Train and manage engineering and manufacturing employees in maintenance work processes and procedures
  • Create a work environment with safety as a high priority
  • Perform evaluations of employees to ensure quality of work
  • Record and track daily progress/error reports
  • Maintain vendor relationships and order new materials as needed
  • Create and adhere to maintenance budgets and annual operating budgets.
  • Enforce all health and safety rules and regulations according to state/federal laws and company protocol


WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Office and manufacturing environment.


PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS in Engineering required
  • 5+ years relevant experience in manufacturing environment (marine/automotive/powersports preferred)
  • Can effectively handle both electrical and mechanical responsibilities
  • Lean Manufacturing, 5S, TPM
