YOUR ROLE

  • Summary of the position: The Accounting Manager will lead the reporting of the financial results of Henkel Chemical Management.
  • The position is based in Nashville, TN.
  • The Accounting Manager will oversee team of six including AR, AP and Controlling
  • Monthly journal entries, which includes Sales, COGS, allocations, and balance sheet accounts
  • Monthly consolidated balance sheet & income statement journal entries into SAP
  • Compile quarterly schedules
  • Reconcile inventory variances between physical and other variances between inventory valuation and AS400 as required
  • Cash balance and disbursement bank account reconciliations - daily and monthly
  • Prepare and analyze Preliminary Site Income Statements
  • Confirm chemical billings for accounts and provide Pivot Tables for monthly consolidate
  • Performs monthly AR sweep and submit journal entry
  • Analyzes summary account billings and cost of goods sold monthly to ensure a match to AS400
  • Credit/Rebills as required
  • G/L accounts maintenance in AS400 and produce GL financial reports as required
  • Daily and weekly reporting of sales
  • Manage/compile the KP, and other ad hoc financial analyses/reports as required


YOUR SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
  • Minimum 3 years overseeing a team
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the areas of accounting, financial planning & analysis, or management reporting
  • Advanced analytical capabilities
  • Proficiency in SAP and AS400 preferred
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills
