The QTI Group is partnered with E.K. Machine in Fall River, WI to recruit and hire a CNC Manufacturing Engineer.

We are seeking an experienced, full-time Manufacturing Engineer that's ready to jump in and take ownership of our machining processes. We're looking for someone who is keen on problem-solving, can train others, and has an incredible eye for detail. If you're eager to flex your engineering and process evaluation and improvement skills to good use, this 1st shift job is for you.

Long-term goals for the role include:

  • Working with the Quality Department to develop inspection plans for critical features to be checked at set-up to ensure the first part is produced within specifications.
  • Assisting operators with process issues to improve our productivity.
  • Evaluating, developing, and improving our manufacturing methods.
  • Helping to develop and improve the skills of all CNC department personnel.

Daily Responsibilities:

Evaluating employee training needs and readily providing training within your area of responsibility.

Organizing and maintaining storage of all NC/CNC programs and instruction set-up sheets.

Readily assuming supervision duties of your department when your manager is absent, directing personal, and determining priorities based on production requirements.

Conferring with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate our production processes.

Conferring with tool manufacturing representatives to ensure proper tooling usage and efficient production methods.

Clearly reporting equipment problems to the department manager by maintenance request.

Revising programs to eliminate instruction errors or omissions.

Qualifications:

  • An Associate Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 4 to 5 years of related experience and/or training and a high school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience. You'll need a strong understanding of computer applications like Microsoft Office, Mastercam, and Solid Works software.
  • You are ready to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and documents, and governmental regulations. You can also write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals effectively. You'll also need the ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the general public confidently and correctly.
