Accounting Analyst

Job Summary
The Accounting Analyst performs a variety of Treasury functions including the development and maintenance of purchase card programs and the development of tools for cash intake for billing systems. This position participates in payroll and accounts payable related functions. The Analyst validates cash and credit card deposits, tenant transactions, patient refunds, sales taxes and the posting of transactions into various systems.
Essential Job Functions

• Develops tools to support the implementation and maintenance of cash intake for various billing systems. Serves as a resource to end users to resolve issues with application of cash receipts.

• Develops and maintains electronic purchase card programs within Altru Health System and its affiliated organizations. Participates in determination of potential vendor candidates and their enrollment into programs.

• Verifies and validates the online bank and credit card processor services for any transactions. Notifies appropriate staff of amounts posted to their billing systems. Reviews receipts and deposits and enters data into appropriate cash journals. Reconciles to source systems.

• Analyzes and audits monthly tenant transactions for compliance with Lease Agreement rent/CAM amounts. Accumulates and analyzes monthly CAM expenses in preparation for annual reconciliation settlement with tenants.

• Prepares monthly sales tax worksheets and reconciles journal postings for state and city sales tax.

• Processes uploads from Epic to accounts payable system. Validates accuracy of data and forwards for generation of refund disbursements. Prepares monthly journal entries for refund transactions.

• Supports and participates in payroll processing and maintenance.

• Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.

• Demonstrates understanding and follows infection control policies and procedures according to standard operating procedure.

Requirements
Driver's License with Acceptable Driving Record

Drivers License - Current State Licensed

Bachelor's in Accounting Or Bachelor's in a Related Field Required
A minimum of 3 years of related experience Knowledge & Skills
Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written format.

Demonstrates knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and procedures and multi-corporation reports.

Demonstrates the ability to use various software programs.
