This Art Director position is an upper-level working role and should be capable of executing projects with minimal direction. The ideal candidate is a proactive individual, with excellent critical thinking skills who is able to process, react to, and solve problems as they arise on tight deadlines in a team environment. The candidate should also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

They must express themselves well, take a leadership role when working with a group, and have multidisciplinary design experience including social, digital and traditional media. The Art director must have experience juggling multiple priorities and handling time-sensitive requests.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within United States as you take on some tough challenges. However, will need to travel to the office on occasion.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and execute innovative projects / ideas while ensuring brand guidelines are followed and visual communication standards are met - still pushing our brand forward
• Create materials (mostly digital) for: flyers, FAQs, QRGs, digital banners, sketch mockups, digital animations
• Collaborate and be consultative with the web team in creating first in class visual experiences
• Speak the digital language with the web team and create digital deliverables that create a great experience for the provider audience
• Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale, complex design projects such as integrated marketing campaigns, in addition to informally leading and supervising other creative team contributors to ensure a cohesive, on-brand end-result
• Illustrative animation of gifs and other visual digital marketing experiences
• Foster an innovate spirit bringing great new ideas to the team

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• Must have an Online portfolio
• 10+ years of proven work experience in design
• Proficient in Creative Suite: Specifically, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint (creating and editing slides for presentations), Microsoft Word (creating and editing documents), Microsoft Excel (general spreadsheet navigation), and Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar)
• Expert proficiency in Adobe InDesign (layout and publication), Photoshop and Illustrator (graphics and photographs)
• Working knowledge of Sketch
• Deep digital marketing experience and knowledge

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $87,900 to $156,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
