Bank of North Dakota Collateral Valuation Analyst IV
Bank of North Dakota is launching an exciting new program to provide collateral valuation services for our financial institution partners across the state of North Dakota. The hired employee may work remotely but is expected to be a North Dakota resident. Option to under fill as CVA III if applicant pool dictates.
Hiring Range: $72,703 - $109,043; (mid) $90,873
Minimum Qualifications
This position requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field. A professional designation such as a certified general appraiser, or an extensive background in real estate valuation may substitute for the education requirement. A minimum of three years of work-related experience as an appraiser, as an apprentice to an appraiser, or bank/credit union employee or independent contractor working on behalf of a financial institution with primary duties in collateral valuation is required. Appraisal license and/or certification is preferred but not required. Applicant must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, use sound judgment, and be a self-starter. Applicant must be proficient in Microsoft Office products. Applicant must also be able to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and in writing.
Summary of Work
Responsibilities to include: Completing collateral valuations for commercial, agricultural, and residential real estate as well as equipment, machinery, and aircraft, etc. Collateral valuation services to include preparation of ag and commercial real estate evaluations, appraisal reviews of certified appraisals, and independent affirmations of ag and commercial real estate evaluations prepared by the financial institution. Collects, investigates, documents, and maintains comparable sales information. Performs other duties as assigned such as special projects. Represents and communicates the mission and values of Bank of North Dakota and complies with its conduct policy, security policy and confidentiality expectations. This position reports to the Collateral Valuation Manager.
