YOUR ROLE

Location: Remote (must be based in California though) work + 30% travel.

  • Provide technical support to the automotive mechanical and collision repair industry. Tasks may include off-highway/commercial vehicles as well.
  • Is accountable for development of unique selling proposition of Loctite/Teroson branded adhesives and sealants.
  • Travel with VRM (Vehicle Repair/Maintenance) sales representatives to develop first-hand knowledge of customer/ market needs.
  • Is accountable for product recommendations, customized product applications, new product training and troubleshooting for customers.
  • Will be accountable for generating high quality technical and meeting reports as needed.
  • Reports quality issues / customer claims to relevant parts of the organization in a well-documented manner.
  • Works with application equipment to provide solutions to enhance customer adhesive related processes.
  • Reports technical results and contributes to customer presentations.
  • Works effectively on SBU and/or Regional specific projects. Contributes to project plans and helps the team to deliver project goals.
  • May supervise laboratory work (incl. prioritization) for samples coming from customers, and report technical results to customers.
  • Quantifies, documents and reports Henkel solution's value to customers.
  • Is accountable for products application / technical training of field sales forces and customers.
  • Documents all activities in internal databases / or in the TCS (Technical Customer Service) Lab Requests database.
  • Is accountable for directly communicating with sales, marketing, PD, Innovation, members of TCS field team or project team members.
  • Promotes internally SBU innovations and best learnings cross accounts.
  • Respects and promotes the internal Henkel SHEQ rules.


YOUR SKILLS

  • BS Engineering/Technical Degree is required.
  • Language: English required, Spanish a plus
  • Must have good mechanical aptitude and the ability to write accurate comprehensive engineering Reports.
  • Automotive mechanical repair/2 years minimum direct collision repair experience is required.
  • Demonstrated experience working in the automotive collision repair industry is preferred.
  • Preferred to have adhesive/sealants knowledge and experience.
  • The ability to think and work under minimal supervision is essential, in a remote work setting.
  • Customer support experience (providing product application training).
  • Strong customer relations and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Proven leadership, sense of urgency, self-starter - takes the initiative.
  • Potential for up to 30% overnight travel per year.

The salary range for this role is $72,600.00 - $105,200.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Connecticut. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
