Talent Acquisition Associate

Position Overview

Under supervision, the human resource associate performs work of moderate difficulty in public human resources and performs related work as assigned. The Talent Acquisition Associate provides administrative support for a variety of Human Resources (HR)/Talent Acquisition programs. In this position you will work closely with the Talent Acquisition team in managing the daily needs of candidates and employees.

Responsibilities

Must be able to...
  • Assist department in carrying out various human resource programs and procedures for all company employees
  • Maintain records, reports and logs pertaining to applicant flow, hiring, etc. and files government required reports (i.e EEO-1, Vets 4212, etc.)
  • Review and edit job descriptions to ensure the business is using accurate, consistent language for ease of understanding by job applicants
  • Assist with creating templates and posting job requisitions in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Attract applicants by assisting in the development and placement of job advertisements
  • Process hiring-related paperwork and reports such as the I-9 form, MN new hire report, etc
  • Schedule and facilitate pre-employment or other job skill assessments for candidates
  • Administer pre-employment paperwork and enter background checks
  • Update, maintain and purge appropriate forms according to retention policies and applicable guidelines
  • Maintain human resource information system records and compile reports from the database as needed
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
  • Additional job responsibilities as assigned
  • This is not exclusively an essential onsite role, although requires onsite requirement in Thief River Falls, MN of 25% or more as responsibilities require


Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Minimum/Essential Qualifications:
  • High School diploma|GED
  • Typically, 0-2 years of experience working with data processing, document acquisition, & customer engagement or other relevant experience
  • Experience with government regulated reports
  • Experience working with human resources information systems (HRIS)
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manager multiple assignments and excel in high volume demanding environment
  • Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen
  • Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body
  • Must be able to preform the following behavioral competencies; attention to detail, customer/client focus, ethical conduct, manages execution, personal effectiveness/credibility, and positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two Year Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar area of study or equivalent, relevant work experience
  • Candidate has a base understanding of the various functions of Digi-Key and the industry Digi-Key operates in
  • Candidate has base knowledge of Digi-Key brand and it's principle
