Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Traffic Engineer to be based in Milwaukee, WI.

This position is expected to begin in October 2021.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

* Review and support of control room activities for traffic management strategies and ITS usage for planned and unplanned events.

* Review and support control room activities for nightly work zone lane closures by assisting with DMS usage.

* Assist with control room Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) review and development.

* Assist with travel time configuration and quality reviews for DMS, PCMS and 511.

* Assist with special event coordination for traffic operations, utilizing ATMS and 511.

* Coordinate PCMS usage between regional offices and the control room for special events, attend quarterly PCMS coordination meetings and assist in ATMS configuration and documentation.

Minimum Requirements

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in traffic operations.

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous background, education, and/or experience in traffic operations or ITS

* Previous background and/or experience with public communications, social media

* Excellent time management skills and attention to detail

* Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer service focus

* Ability to utilize skills such as proactive monitoring and situational awareness

* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
