Electrical Superintendent Needed
Appleton WI

JOB SUMMARY:

The Project Superintendent is responsible for and takes ownership of the timely completion of the project and ensuring that the project is constructed in strict accordance with plans, specifications, and local codes. Project Superintendent shall assist in scheduling all subcontractors, consultants, and vendors, as well as ensure their completion of work within time allowed. The Project Superintendent shall be responsible for the coordination of work directed in the field, ensuring work is performed in accordance with plans and specifications. The Superintendent has full P&L responsibility. Conflicts or revisions to the project shall be communicated with the project team (i.e. project manager, architect, engineer, consultant, owner) for the mutual resolution prior to execution of work that deviates from the approved plans. The Project Superintendent shall establish and enforce job site quality control programs to ensure quality completion of construction.

Job Requirements:

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

??? Identifying change orders
??? Breaking job out/builds phase tree (collaborates with Foreman/Project Manager, Detailer and
Estimator)
??? Collaboration between Purchasing, PM, and General Superintendent job buyouts
??? Conduct quarterly and annual reviews as well as assess the skills of and develop career paths for
each direct report. Identifies the developmental needs of others and coaches, mentors,
provides feedback, or otherwise helps others to improve their knowledge or skills
??? Responsible for crew mix, cross train apprentices/journeymen
??? Assures workers are trained in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety
procedures, and company policies recommending on the job opportunities and classroom
opportunities
??? Responsible to ensure job exit interviews are completed
??? Document and coordinate with General Superintendent and Foreman to resolve unsatisfactory
team member performance and behavior issues
??? Review foremen time
??? Attends job site meetings
??? Collaborate with Project Manager to provide foreman or lead person with current and accurate
information by generating request for information, material submittals, memorandums, and
other forms of communication
??? Analyzes and develops weekly recommendations for scheduling (PTO and Holiday Shutdowns)
overall project schedule and uses staffing requirements and operations schedules to determine
required staffing levels to ensure the organization's ability to meet operational commitments
??? Responsible for all job-related paperwork

o Maintain daily log (written) of activities on the jobsite
o Verify daily reports
o Verify weekly/monthly planners

??? Attends Pre and Post Jobs
??? Responsible for ensuring all proper tools and equipment are on site. Monitor and manage tool
control for job site
??? Perform job site audits
??? Work with Detailer to plan pre-fabrication and kitting
??? Assist PM in obtaining permits or approval of revisions
??? Read specifications such as blueprints to determine construction requirements and to plan
procedures
??? Verify proper layouts are being done prior to the job starting
??? Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion
and full execution of contracted scope of work
??? Assures required inspections with local jurisdictions
??? Serve as a liaison between the customer, team members and general contractor
??? Keep account manager and project manager apprised of any customer interaction
??? May be required to attend AMR meetings

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
??? High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
??? Must possess a state Journeyman's or Master's License
??? At least five (5) years of experience managing crews
??? Bluebeam experience required
??? Must be certified in CPR and First Aid or able to obtain certification shortly after start date.
??? NFPA70E training
??? Complete OSHA 10
??? ARC Flash Training
??? This position may require employees to drive a company vehicle. If so, employees must possess
a valid driver's license and have a good driving record that allows the company to insure such
individual under the company's insurance policies. Employee must also carry auto liability
insurance. Employee will be subject to the Company's policy concerning company vehicles.
