Lakewood Health System has an opening for a full-time Hospital Nursing Assistant!

The Hospital Nursing Assistant provides individualized personal and nursing care to the patient while preserving the patient's rights and human dignity in a confidential manner, encouraging the patient to function at his/her highest level of ability.

This is a full-time position working 8 hour shifts, 64-80 hours every two weeks. Some flexibility is required. Every other weekend is required and some holidays.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide personal and nursing care for the patient in accordance with his/her plan of care.
  
• Following patients' plan of care, encourage them to function at their highest level of ability.
  
• Provide an infection controlled and safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
  
• Carry out assignments as delegated by the Charge Nurse.
  
• Remain informed on changes in geriatric care and in policy and procedure changes in the facility.
  
• Help create a teamwork approach to my daily tasks as well as my co-workers.
  
• Listen to patients, families and co-workers and attempt to meet their physical, spiritual and emotional needs.
  

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
  
• Previous patient care experience preferred
  
• Current MN certification required
