Job Summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Senior Principle Test Engineer to provide test leadership for our Missile Products Division located in Plymouth, MN location. In this role candidates will demonstrate in-depth understanding and expertise with development of Test Program Plans, Test Methodologies, Data Analysis, Cost Estimating, Earned Value and overall Test Management. The candidate will interface with other engineering disciplines to optimize program objectives and resolve unforeseen technical issues. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of test planning, execution and management of the program plan.

Additional duties and responsibilities include:

Leads and direct all aspects of testing, evaluation and validation of complete system and or subsystems. Ability to simultaneously manage multiple test activities.
In-Depth knowledge of Climatic, Vibration and Mechanical Shock, Electromagnetic Effects, and Insensitive Munitions Testing. Familiar with data acquisition techniques, transducer selection and signal analysis. Understanding of simple electronic circuits for data acquisition and fire circuits.
Develop requirements for the design and fabrication of test fixtures.
Understanding of energetic components and materials.
Knowledge of commercial and government test facilities for environmental and EMI/EMC test activities.
Knowledge of MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-331, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, MIL-S-901, MIL-STD-2105, JOTP-052 and JOTP-053 standards and guidelines.
Utilize experience and expertise to provide cost estimating support and technical write ups for new program proposal efforts.
Understanding of Earned Value Measurement Techniques.
Support Systems engineering in review of storage and operational performance requirements and development of requirement verification plans.
Leads and direct all aspects of testing, evaluation and validation of complete system and or subsystems.
Familiar with available signal analysis tools, MATLAB, MS Office Tools and MS VISIO.
Leads, prepares and presents test engineering materials for major program reviews such as SRR, SDR, SFR, PDR, CDR, SVR and other formal program reviews.
Must be willing to work with DoD programs and energetic devices.

This position may be filled at a higher level depending on education and/or years of experience.

Experience Required for Principal Systems Test Engineer:

BS in Electrical, Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering
At least 5 years of Electrical Engineering experience, or at least 3 years EE experience with a Masters in Engineering, or PhD.
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Experience Required for Sr. Principal Engineer:

BS in Electrical, Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering
At least 9 years of Electrical Engineering experience, or at least 7 years EE experience with a Masters in Engineering, or PhD & 4 years.
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Salary Range: 87800 - 131600
Salary Range 2: 108900 - 163300

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
