Job Information

The Financial Reporting Manager will oversee the financial statement reporting process for Doosan Bobcat North America, a leading global manufacturer of construction, agriculture, landscaping and grounds maintenance equipment, attachments and services. This position is open to a location of Minneapolis, MN or West Fargo, ND and offers a hybrid work arrangement working 2-3 days per week at the office and the balance from home/remote.

Role & Responsibility

Prepare Financial Statements
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements and footnotes for Doosan Bobcat North America.
  • Prepare separate financial statements and footnotes for Doosan Bobcat North America.

People Management
  • Manage and develop direct report through coaching, training, and mentoring, and making sure that team members have the tools required to perform effectively and efficiently.

Support Audit Process
  • Support the internal and external audit process including communication with the external auditor to answer questions, prepare PBC (“Provided By Client”) items, collect PBC’s from the field, etc.
  • Prepare pending lists for upper management detailing outstanding items for audits.
  • Gather information from throughout the organization and from third party providers for the auditor.

Reporting
  • Prepare and manage the process to issue annual and quarterly footnote disclosure for the external use. 
  • Provide monthly and quarterly accounting entries for various corporate activities including FX forward contracts, interest rate swaps, borrowing and issuance costs and business combination accounting.
  • Technical accounting research and documentation of new policies and procedures under IFRS.
  • Monitor the development and applicability of emerging accounting and reporting rules under IFRS.
  • Review debt agreements and prepare interest accrual spreadsheets for new debt agreements.
  • Provide ad hoc support to the Treasury and Tax Departments.
  • Provide accounting guidance and policy to the Operation team.
  • Responsible for reporting quarterly and annual Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) forms for the Company.
     


Job Requirement

  • Bachelor's Degree – Accounting.
  • CPA License preferred.
  • 5 to 8 years' preparation of quarterly reports (10-Q) and annual reports (10-K) preferred.
  • Experience with preparation of financial statements and accompanying footnotes required.
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency with strong Excel, Access and PowerPoint skills.
  • Effective team leadership, coaching and people management skills. 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and cross-functional teamwork skills.

•Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

•Must be able to follow established methods and procedures and perform work accordingly. Must have the ability to work rapidly and under time pressure for extended periods of time in order to meet build requirements. Must possess the ability to read build sheets and blueprints.
•The ability to communicate with supervisors and fellow workers in both written and verbal forms at a level normally acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED is required.
•Job specific skills, techniques and safe work and equipment operating practices are learned through on-the-job and classroom training. General instructions are given on recurring duties, operations and assignments; detailed instructions are given on new duties, operations and assignments.
