About the Position:

The Training Manager provides direction/leadership for the employee training/education efforts at our Houston and Bayport Chemical Plants. Applying the experience and knowledge of a seasoned professional the incumbent will develop and execute plans, process, and programs that ensure our employee have the competencies necessary to allow the plant(s) to achieve their performance objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:
??? Lead/Manage the Salary/Hourly Plant Training Function
??? Develop the plant's annual salary/hourly training plan - Identifying/Organizing resources to implement training plans.
??? Manage and provide continuous guidance/oversight to plant Training team
??? Conduct scheduled/routine audits of hourly training to validate content quality, consistency, and delivery
??? Utilize our Learning Management System (SuccessFactors) to monitor, develop and assist in the delivery of high-quality training
??? Identify/Facilitate professional development opportunities
??? Observe, evaluate, and analyze plant performance and consult with Production/Plant Leadership to ensure that training is meeting business needs and improving performance

Required Education and Experience:
??? BS Degree in relevant filed
??? 5 or more years of experience working in manufacturing
??? 2 or more years of experience in training facilitation for hourly/salary staff
??? 2 or more years of experience in curriculum design, development writing of objective-based training guidelines and the creation of tools
??? 3 or more years of experience managing the following training functions: Planning, scheduling, tracking, evaluation, and reporting (at a mid-sized company or 1+ years at a large company)
??? Strong experience with computer-based tools used in the field. Experience with Storyline 360 preferred

Skills and Abilities:
??? Competent in technology utilized in the training industry e.g., Learning Management System (SuccessFactors)
??? Ability to recommend learning/development interventions (after analysis of problem and consideration of alternative solutions)
??? Communicate effectively in visual, oral, and written form
??? Ability to stay current on learning and development industry trends to meet the needs of cross-generational associate learning
