Job Information

Virtually evaluate designs of Company components, systems, and products to predict design performance using the latest in engineering simulation tools.

Provide simulation results interpretation and communication and make recommendations for design improvement.

Role & Responsibility

Virtually evaluate design performance
  • Create, modify, analyze, and maintain the engineering simulation models of assigned projects. Influence engineering decision-making by providing reliable structural and vibrational analysis insights.
  • Recommend and evaluate design solutions that improve cost, manufacturability, quality, and performance.
  • Execute product verification plan by implementing current FEA, MBD, and other simulation best practices
  • Use problem-solving skills as well as internal and external resources to troubleshoot simulation models
  • Develop multibody dynamic simulation best practices

 

Additional Responsibilities
  • Define and guide tests to verify simulation solutions
  • Correlate simulation results with test data and make refinements as necessary
  • Develop CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) skills and knowledge of company systems
  • Work concurrently with several designs and test teams across multiple product groups
  • and sites
  • Communicate simulation status and results to supervisor, design teams, and management
  • Collaborate with design teams to define component/system requirements and innovative develop
  • Collaborate with design teams to define component/system requirements and develop innovative design solutions to meet those requirements
  • May supervise and assist in the training and development of co-ops and student development  interns


Job Requirement

  • Strong applied mechanical and engineering skills and a willingness to use them
  • Experience with engineering simulation software preferred
  • Experience with test and validation methods is preferred
  • Understanding of the theory and design of Company products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Competency with MS Office Suite. Advanced computer skills
  • Engineering-Agriculture - Bachelors Degree
  • Engineering-General - Bachelors Degree
  • Engineering-Mechanical - Bachelors Degree
  • 0-2 years experience

What skills, education, and experiences does your ideal candidate(s) have?

•Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
•These are entry level opportunities
•Must be able to follow established methods and procedures and perform work accordingly. Must have the ability to work rapidly and under time pressure for extended periods of time in order to meet build requirements. Must possess the ability to read build sheets and blueprints.
•The ability to communicate with supervisors and fellow workers in both written and verbal forms at a level normally acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED is required.
•Job specific skills, techniques and safe work and equipment operating practices are learned through on-the-job and classroom training. General instructions are given on recurring duties, operations and assignments; detailed instructions are given on new duties, operations and assignments.
