YOUR ROLE

  • Executes the operational plan of an engineering task based on engineering designs and work specifications
  • Works closely with external contractors and ensures the quality of delivered services and products
  • Sets up or adjusts complex equipment according to manufacturing specifications Identifies and implements opportunities of process optimization
  • To delegate job duties to the manufacturing equipment maintenance mechanics.
  • To assist in the training of the manufacturing maintenance personnel in set up and adjustment of the production equipment in a proper manner.
  • Provide technical support to mechanics when troubleshooting and repair of production related equipment as needed.
  • Assist in the establishment and management of a Preventive Maintenance program.
  • Supervises all aspects of manufacturing maintenance operations
  • Ensure shift quality and efficiency, leading to the effectiveness of the department's quality effort.
  • Ensures proper documentation and application of departmental processes and procedures.
  • Participates in department annual budgeting and strategic planning.
  • Gathers and analyzes data for tracking workload and trends.
  • Represents packaging mechanics in Company meetings and projects.
  • Initiates and completes special projects needed for continuous departmental improvements and meeting departmental goals. Resolves issues, as needed.
  • Perform all job duties as required.


YOUR SKILLS

  • Associates degree with 5 years manufacturing maintenance experience or assorted leadership training and 5 years manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of production equipment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable tools, including electrical test equipment.
  • Good troubleshooting skills required
  • Must be able to read and sketch mechanical drawings.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Initiative/motivation a must
