For this role, we require a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, and/or experience in financial services. 

Superior analytic, process-improvement, and business acumen; understanding of economics and accounting theories necessary for electric rate design and revenue requirements determination is helpful; knowledge of regulatory rules, the governing statutes and legal process as applied to the regulation of an electric utility is helpful; the ability to establish and maintain effective professional working relationships; and demonstrated effectiveness in both written and oral communication skills.  

The successful applicant must be able to work independently and as part of a team, thrive in an environment of multiple priorities, and work under pressure to proactively meet deadlines.  Company and/or industry knowledge preferred.

Responsible for financial analysis used to determine the revenue requirements associated with various cost recovery mechanisms such as riders, as well as preparation of required financial information and analysis used in the development of general rate cases. Work with regulatory and legal staff on the preparation of regulatory and rate filings and the development of testimony, comments, and responses to information requests to support filings. Prepare exhibits and/or testimony, both oral and written, during general rate cases. Analyze alternatives and recommend options for regulatory treatment of changes in accounting standards based on thorough understanding of regulatory theory.
