Job Summary
The Broker Relations Partner is responsible for playing a key role enhancing and maintaining favorable relationships with brokers external to the organization maximizing sales and retention opportunities for the company. This role works closely with internal teams to manage relationships with brokers in support of their respective client accounts.

Required: Bachelor's

Field(s) of Study: Business, Marketing or related field
Experience Requirements
Required: Minimum of 5 Years
Preferred: Minimum of 7 Years
Experience Details: Minimum of 5 years of health insurance, sales, account management, consulting, business, or related experience is required.
Certification, Licensures & Registration Requirements
Title: Must have or obtain Insurance Producer License within 3 months of hire and maintain continuing education requirements annually.
State or Agency: ND
Title: Must maintain an active and valid/unencumbered driver’s license which allows for standard driving privileges in North Dakota and Minnesota
State or Agency: Department of Motor Vehicles
Equivalent combination of education, experience or training determined to be acceptable by Human Resources may be substituted, unless regulated by contract or program standards

Essential Functions
- Develops, cultivates, and maintains favorable business relationships with agents and brokers.
- Ensures brokers are consistently satisfied with the organization’s products and services maximizing sales opportunities.
- Generates interests, establishes pipeline, and focuses on supporting local brokers as they retain and expand their book of business with BCBSND.
- Supports and oversees the sales and renewal cycles for brokers and clients, including the recommendation of appropriate products and solutions.
- Addresses, escalates, and resolves areas of concern raised by agents and brokers. Serves as an advocate for the broker within the organization.
- Develops client pricing strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Facilitates educational training seminars for clients, vendors, and brokers.
- Educates and drives awareness and preference of our services throughout the brokerage community.
- Monitors and communicates broker and agent metrics to ensure successful outcomes and continued preferred broker status.
- Provides guidance, trains and mentors departmental staff and collaborates with leadership to support strategic goals within the team.
- Travel outside of core business location is required.
