Job Summary
The ITIL Operations Analyst is responsible for facilitating ITIL processes and procedures in response to business need and end-to-end responsibilities to ensure service requests have been fulfilled. The focus areas of the ITIL Operations Analyst include: change, asset, incident, problem, CMDB, release, and service catalog to ensure processes are implemented in adherence with industry best practice principles/standards.

Experience Details: Minimum of 4 years of IT, project management, ITL, reporting, analytics or related experience is required.
Certification, Licensures & Registration Requirements
Title: ITIL Foundation
State or Agency: Active ITIL Foundation (or higher level) certification from an accredited institution will need to be verified prior to hire or transfer into this position, and incumbent’s certification will need to remain active and in good standing while employed in the role.
Equivalent combination of education, experience or training determined to be acceptable by Human Resources may be substituted, unless regulated by contract or program standards

Essential Functions
- Utilizes process definition and improvement methodologies with a technical foundation to facilitate IT service management.
- Collaborates across cross-functional groups to deliver high quality IT services to internal customers.
- Identifies process and system efficiencies to continually improve resolution and service restoration.
- Performs upfront root cause analysis to understand the severity and business impact of tickets.
- Provides business impact analysis, resources required, and status of ongoing tickets.
- Develops and produces various reports, metrics or mechanisms for IT, and Business leadership.
- Leverages relevant data from analysis, performance monitoring, and availability management tools to proactively open trouble tickets based on IT infrastructure warning or critical issues.
- Functions as a subject matter expert by utilizing ITIL knowledge, combined with a solid understanding of the IT related business needs of the organization.
