Coloplast is offering a unique opportunity to be part of shaping the way customer contracting is done in North America. The Contracts Manager is responsible for managing a team of analysts who facilitate customer contracts for key customers to optimize Coloplast's top and bottom line in partnership with our sales teams. Primary responsibilities include facilitating internal alignment on customer contract strategy and establishing KPI metrics in order to follow up on customer performance. As the Contracts Manager, you will work in a talented and dynamic team environment with frequent exposure to our US leadership team.

Management of Contracts Team
Collaborate with the Key, Strategic, Local, and Canadian Sales Teams to establish contractual relationships with Group Purchasing Organization (GPO), Integrated Delivery Network (IDN), Master Dealer, Retail and National Distributor customers while upholding critical business initiatives
Analyse contract terms and conditions to determine compliance and assess corporate risk, while acquiring and documenting appropriate stakeholder approvals
Translate complex contract language into practical business implications and subsequently work with all levels of corporate management to develop strategies to implement new business practices
Provide education, recommendations & guidance to decision-makers when reviewing contract language & customer negotiation strategies
Serve as point of contact for Coloplast internal clients on contract negotiation and other contractual matters, including status of contracts in process and tracking of contracts in the DocuSign Contract Lifecycle Management System
Build relationships with key internal clients to facilitate understanding, proactively influence timely decision-making, and streamline execution of contractual terms & conditions
Assist analysts with the negotiation of customer contracts on business terms and conditions when requested by the sales teams
Ensure corporate requirements are met and high-quality data integrity is maintained while implementing contracts and provide timely responses to internal and external inquiries
Development of Educational Communication Tools
Educate internal business partners on Coloplasts' contract request and review process
Design or improve upon processes & tools to help the Contracts team facilitate accurate workflow management
Develop tools to support Contracting team and sales force in facilitating contract negotiations with customers across business channels
Partner with IT Business Analysts and IT Support to integrate contract and pricing tools as well as optimize system communication
Drive strategic projects within the Contracts Department and/or assist with cross-functional projects such as the rollout of pricing strategies and product launches
Proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiencies within the pricing and contracts processes
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Extensive experience leading live customer contract negotiations at both the GPO and IDN level.
Excellent understanding of corporate policies and procedures, coupled with ability to identify required improvements to established policies
Confident in communicating and influencing at all levels within the organization
Experience handling all elements of people management ranging from defining talent needs based on business objectives to administering employee performance reviews
Solid understanding of the business needs and an appreciation of financial contractual implications
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and complete tasks efficiently and independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Confidence to apply independent judgment and creativity to contract resolution issues, in partnership with legal and compliance stakeholders
Proven track record with consistent high performance both academically and professionally
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Has successfully managed multiple simultaneous projects
Technical proficiency with the following systems: Excel, Access, Outlook, Enterprise One/One World, Cognos, DocuSign CLM
A team player with the ability to use strong verbal reasoning skills to analyse elements of contract language and assess corporate risk
Educational and Experience Requirements
Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Contract Law or equivalent - MBA Preferred
Minimum of five years' experience working with contracts, negotiations, or legal department; healthcare industry preferred
Minimum of three years' experience with direct management and leadership preferred
Experience in the healthcare industry a plus
Knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements is preferred
