As the Supplier Diversity & Environment Sustainability Manager, you will partner closely with global Sourcing, Supplier Management and Operations teams to lead and execute the planning and implementation of various strategic programs and initiatives to advance suppliers sustainability for GE Healthcare. You will interface at all levels and become a true advisor and business partner while developing and driving GE Healthcare's Supplier Diversity and Sustainability Strategy and vision.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside business units to create a comprehensive roadmap, project opportunity tracker and targets for maintaining and improving supplier diversity across GE Healthcare.
  • Collaborate with various business functions across the enterprise to ensure appropriate identification, qualification, and inclusion of small businesses and diverse suppliers for opportunities to support proposal and program requirements.
  • Manage workloads, priorities, and deadline requirements to meet the needs of internal/external customers with respect to proposals, data analysis, reporting, and Ad-hoc requests and approvals.
  • Develop and monitor adherence to the annual Subcontracting Plan goals.
  • Work with Category Managers to ensure diverse supplier inclusion in supplier selection and other proposals.
  • Analyze PO spend data and produce monthly, quarterly, and semiannual supplier diversity reports for internal analysis and to track achievement against established goals.
  • Provide diversity spend reports to commercial teams and other buying groups as requested.
  • Lead training initiatives to educate internal stakeholders on small business and supplier diversity requirements, programs, and systems.
  • Assist in compliance reviews with the Small Business Administration, DCMA, Internal/External Audit, and other oversight agencies as required.
  • Act as the focal point for small businesses interested in becoming a GEHC supplier by attending outreach events and representing the company's supplier diversity program as a participant and/or panelist.
  • Validate supplier information and conduct market research and intelligence as needed using various external sites/systems like USA Spending, System for Award Management, Dynamic Small Business Search, SBA.GOV, and agency SB program offices.
  • Participate in cross-GE programs to drive improvements in supplier diversity across the organization.
  • Develop relationships with diverse suppliers and promote networking relationships between suppliers and commodity buying teams to support GE Healthcare's procurement organization goals.
  • Identify best industry practices in supplier diversity programs by conducting research consisting of external benchmarking, attending conferences, gaining insight from customers and key vendors.
  • Manage 3rd party relationships for environmental and sustainability reporting.
  • Lead Operation Mechanisms to ensure Supplier Diversity and Sustainability are accurately and consistently represented during quoting and Supplier Selection processes.
  • Act as advocate to ensure maximum practicable subcontracting opportunities are offered to Small Business (SB), Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDB), Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and small businesses in Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone).

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree with a minimum of 5 years experience, Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 years experience, or a minimum of 10 years experience in sourcing, strategy or engineering related discipline.
  • Experience in developing and establishing supplier diversity programs and/or organization.
  • Experience developing Small Business Subcontracting Plans.
  • Experience with Small Business Subcontract Reporting (ISRs and or SSRs).
  • Excellent analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze large volumes of raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations
  • Knowledgeable in strategic sourcing (both indirect and direct).
  • Ability to develop comprehensive strategies and/or previous experience managing Supplier Sustainability Programs.
  • Previous experience managing 3rd party vendors and contracts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a Small Business Liaison Officer (SBLO)/Supplier Diversity Specialist.
  • Advanced understanding of FAR 19.704 requirements and Small Business Subcontracting Program Compliance Reviews.
  • Previous experience in Environment- Ethics, Labors & Human Rights & Sustainable procurement).
