Electrical Engineer III

Summary: Research, design and maintain products

This is for a specific product development project which is in progress.

The position will collaborate cross-functionally and have frequent interaction with our manufacturing facilities, suppliers and service team.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Generate, evaluate, analyze, and develop electrical harness and component concepts for systems and assemblies to meet product requirements.

Ensure accuracy and completeness of engineering designs, drawings, documentation and Bills of Material.

Ensure that DFMEA and DVPR processes are adhered to.

Ensure laboratory and field testing activities adhere to our product development processes.

Skills & Qualifications

MUST HAVE

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering

5-7 years of work experience in a relevant, applicable industry

Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the business.

Proficiency with using electrical tools and instruments to perform tests, troubleshoot and gather data is expected.

Strong project planning / management and organizational skills.

Demonstrated experience with Design, Quality & Reliability processes, supplier qualification and part approval requirements. Self-motivated with strong collaboration skills.

Demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams spread across multiple geographical regions.

NICE TO HAVE

Creo Schematic proficiency would be an advantage.

Experience with vehicle electrical system design and harness/interconnection systems preferable.

Experience with electric machines, power electronics and automotive networks (CAN for example) would be an advantage.
