MSA has an opportunity for an Engineering Technician. Our bridge team is located primarily in our Madison and Baraboo offices, and the location of this position can be for any of the following office locations: Madison, WI; Baraboo, WI; Ankeny, IA; Duluth, MN; Rhinelander, WI; Marshfield, WI; Appleton, WI; or Milwaukee, WI. You will have the opportunity to focus primarily on bridge and structural drafting, as well as some road plan drafting for DOT projects. You will have the opportunity to see, and contribute in, projects from start to finish. The various projects you'll be working on make a significant and positive impact on the communities you serve.

Responsibilities:
The work you will do

Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation OpenRoads Designer in a production capacity for bridges and other transportation projects

Develop detailed bridge and roadway drawings under the direction of a professional engineer

Prioritize workflow and keep project schedules

Partner with our Digital Design group to manage bridge team technology needs

Grow and develop skills by working with experienced technical mentors

Qualifications:
What you bring
Skills & Knowledge / Education & Experience:

Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or 2 years minimum of relevant experience required

2-10 years of experience preferred

Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation required; experience with Civil 3D or OpenRoads Designer preferred

Past experience with DOT standards preferred

Ability to work in a consulting environment in a team setting
