Overview:
Preventive Maintenance/Yard role is responsible for the day to day maintenance and service calls for our property including the maintenance and appearance of the exterior of the hotel building grounds. Maintains shrubbery, lawns and parking lots and garages established by the company. Ensures the parking lots, curbs and other outside areas are free of clutter and debris. Attention to detail is key and impacts our guests experience while at our hotel.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility will be reconditioning guest rooms.
Clean all exterior areas of trash, leaves, and debris. Sweeps areas on a regular basis.
Cleans sidewalks and empties exterior trash bins.
Cleans gutters and awnings as directed.
Will be responsible for snow removal in areas such as sidewalks and guest pathways during winter months. This includes the use of snow-blowing machines, de-icers and shovels.
Operate the tool cat in a safe and appropriate manner
Knowledge of refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing and electrical equipment in kitchen, guestrooms is preferred.
Maintain preventative maintenance routine as assigned.
Maintain compliance with Company and government policies and procedures including EPA, HAZCOM, SDS training.
Maintain tools and parts inventory procedures.
Other job related duties as assigned by management to include cross-training.
Qualifications:

Must meet attendance requirements.
Constant attention to detail/deadlines.
Read, write and speak English fluently.
HVAC, plumbing and electrical knowledge.
Valid driver's license.
Knowledge of light carpentry, painting and wallpaper skills.
Must be able to perform all the essential functions of the job.
Ability to take direction on required company procedures when conducting preventative maintenance in a room.
Assume other duties as required by management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Two years' experience in commercial or institutional maintenance
