Accounts Payable Specialist

Description

Robert Half is looking for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Specialist available to start immediately. This Accounts Payable Specialist role will be located in the Circle Pines, Minnesota area and will be a long-term contract / temporary position. In this dynamic department, career growth and quick advancement is possible. The Accounts Payable Specialist duties will include matching and batching code invoices, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, and processing checks.

Your responsibilities in this role

- Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks

- Help with internal and external audits as required

- Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis

- Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners

- Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling

- Perform special projects as assigned

- Carry out a full-cycle A/P

- Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed

- Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed

Requirements

- Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

- Foundational knowledge in month end closings

- LEED Accounts Payable experience required

- Microsoft Excel experience

- Accounts Payable (AP) experience

- Account reconciliation experience

- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

- High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills

- 3+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred

- Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
