Entry Level Electrical Engineer - Renewable Energy

Actalent's client has experienced tremendous growth due to the stability of the markets they serve and their continued product development processes.

The client is developing a new solar-powered product and system and is growing their team of Engineers.

This job involves a lot of electrical system, component and firmware troubleshooting.

The Engineer will be involved in the testing and overall validation of products including power converters, load management modules, transfer switches, and energy storage devices.

This person will create test plans, conduct component and system testing, perform root cause analysis, and develop solutions for issues identified during the development process, manufacturing process and/or field.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Create and execute component and system level Test Plans and Test Procedures.
• Conduct testing on products including the assembly of test systems, wiring, configuring products and load banks, and conducting component and system level tests. This testing involves working with stored energy and medium levels of AC/DC current and voltage (
• Perform root cause analysis and develop solutions for issues identified during the development process, manufacturing process and/or field.
• Formally document Test Plans, Test Procedures, Test Reports, and any technical issues.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline plus a year of relevant experience
• Experience developing component and/or system level Test Plans, Test Procedures, and Test Reports.
• Hands on experience running tests on complex electronic components and/or systems including the use of oscilloscopes, power supplies, and other various electronic test equipment/meters.
