Job Description
Perform actuarial tasks with limited manager assistance or supervision. Provide technical analysis and support by developing, improving, operating and documenting various actuarial models. Prepare related reports and summarize and communicate results to middle management. Serve as the subject matter expert in assigned projects. Provide leadership for lower level actuarial staff and/or actuarial intern(s).
Responsibilities
??? Develop and run pricing models for annuity products
??? Develop other ad-hoc modeling methods and tools for analysis
??? Support group projects including other departments in the organization
??? Work with Marketing, LFO, CMS, and Corporate Actuarial
??? Conduct and synthesize complex analysis for middle management.
??? Maintain methods and procedures for internal model governance and controls
??? Engage in peer reviews and reconciliations within the department and with other areas of the organization as needed
??? Monitor and analyze the competitor products and the overall competitive environment
Required Qualifications
??? Bachelors degree (or equivalent)
??? 3+ years of actuarial experience
??? All introductory ASA exams plus 1 Actuarial/Advanced ASA Exam or Requirement
??? Validation by Educational Experience (VEE) coursework completion
??? Strong relationship and communication skills in working with colleagues.
??? Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills.
??? Works effectively, independently and as a team member
Preferred Qualifications
??? Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related discipline
??? Experience with Risk Agility or Prophet
??? Experience with MS Excel, VBA, MS Access, and other database applications
??? Annuity pricing experience
??? Knowledge of annuity industry
