Responsibilities
The role of the Senior Maintenance Technician is to maintain and repair all process equipment. A strong relationship with manufacturing is needed to understand their needs and provide good customer support. Technical skills will be utilized to solve simple and complex problems.
In the Maintenance Department you will:
* Be an equipment expert/specialist understanding how all equipment works
* Provide reduced downtime and maximum uptime for manufacturing processes
* Solve problems, drive solutions, troubleshooting, and preventing future failures
Highlighted Accountabilities
* Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as Agitators, Pressure Vessels, and Pumps, Mechanical Seals, Valves, Electric Motors, Hydraulic Units, Plant
* Repair or replace control devices such as switches, pressure gauges, temperature probes, proximity sensors, push-buttons, valves, etc. as needed
* Assist in monitoring work being performed by outside contractors
* Other duties may be assigned
Background and Education
* 2+ years of experience
* Ability to read/understand equipment SPEC sheets and process diagrams
* Familiarity with waste-water and utility systems
* Performing Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Work Order (WO) repairs and inspections
* Experience with injection molding equipment a plus
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
* Must be able to climb ladders and work at elevations
* Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
* Proficiency with basic office computer software and the ability to learn how to effectively use maintenance software to input data and research parts
