Job Details

SUMMARY: Support mailroom operations and promote a teamwork environment by assisting in the assembly and preparation of printed material for distribution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Place/stack on pallets, bundled mail

● Operate electric floor jack to move skids

● Feed strapping, plastic wrap and bottom wrap machines.

● Assist in staging mailroom equipment before production runs.

● Load various feed stations. Occasionally hand feed.

● Palletize products as they run off the machines.

● Housekeeping duties.

● Abide by all OSHA regulations and the lockout/tagout program, as well as other established company safety policies.

● All other duties as assigned by the Mailroom Supervisor.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

● No prior experience or training.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:

● Mechanical skills and computer knowledge preferred, but not required.

● Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

● Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one to other employees of the organization.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

● None.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

● Regularly required to sit, stand, talk, hear, use hands to fingers, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance and stoop.

● Required to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.

● Required to use close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.

● Frequent exposure to vibration, fumes or airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock.

● Exposure to moving mechanical parts.

● The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
