Job Summary

The Team Leader of Data Management Services is responsible for leading a team to execute the organizations data goals and strategy. This position will collaborate with key stakeholders to build strong relationships and help educate and standardize the appropriate use of data across the organization. The Team Leader of Data Management Services distributes and prioritizes work within the department to achieve strategic initiatives and provides timely support to requestors.

 

Essential Functions
  • Directly supervises and guides employees in accomplishing work objectives within the unit. Coaches, motivates, and recognizes employees. Sets clear goals and objectives and performance expectations and holds employees accountable for achieving results.
  • Executes on the strategy of data program management and data delivery in collaboration with leadership and stakeholders to meet the organizations data needs. Provides reporting to leadership on progress and supports escalation and remediation of impediments.
  • Leads the team ensuring data solutions and integrity are maintained through the data life cycle including technical solutions, standards, governance, policies, procedures, and documentation. Sets and/or confirms timeline, specifications, and technical and quality standards for team projects.
  • Supports the development of internal processes, documentation, and knowledge sharing to standardize and enhance bench strength.
  • Leads the day-to-day delivery of data services thru request submission, project solution and timely delivery.
  • Seeks opportunities to optimize technology and innovation to implement operational efficiencies into daily work, standard report definition, and means of data delivery.
  • Builds relationships within the organization and vendors to foster a collaborative environment among staff and other groups. Ensures the team collaborates with other project stakeholders, including users, other IT functions, external parties, etc.
  • Coordinates and manages communication conveying information, decisions and results across departmental lines.
  • Defines and executes software development roadmap in alignment with organizational strategy, including but not limited to software upgrades, release management, incident remediation, disaster recovery planning, software support and software development life cycle.

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor's

Preferred: Bachelor's

Field(s) of Study: Management Information Systems (MIS), Business, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence or related field

 

Experience Requirements

Required: Minimum of 5 Years

Preferred: Minimum of 7 Years

Experience Details: Minimum of 5 years of data analysis, data analytics, business intelligence, or related experience is required, of which a minimum of 1 year of supervisory/staff leadership experience is required.
